Jackson, MS Inventor Martin McCurtis has the Hair Industry Anxiously Awaiting the Arrival of the New Futuristic Dryer that Reduces Drying Time by 50%
Coming up with the idea
Years ago, Martin grew tired of waiting on his wife to dry her hair, so he built a machine that directs hot air upward and out an exhaust pipe. That makes for a drying process that’s more comfortable and much faster. “My estimate would be like 52% to 53%, but it’s clearly over half,” says Martin.
Area salon owners are excited as well, Eva Kelly owner of Eva’s Family Hair Care in Jackson states that, “That the Momentum UpFlow hair dryer cuts the drying time in half, and it’s cooler than the standard dryers that are used in salons today.”
With prototypes in hand in pre-engineering underway, the only thing standing in the way of Martin McCurtis and his dream to revolutionize the more than 100-year-old hair drying business is funding. McCurtis aims to raise $650,000 on his Kickstarter campaign which began on August 26, 2017.
